Giants @ Falcons

A matchup of NFC division leaders should be a very interesting game.  Matt Ryan and the Falcons are coming off a loss to the Panthers last week and despite their NFC best record has not gotten a lot of respect around the league.  They have rarely blown out teams, which has lead to most people in the national media to see the 49ers or Packers, or even this Giants team to be favorites to represent the NFC in the playoffs.  They can put that to bed by beating the Giants today.  New York is coming off a dominating performance against the Saints, putting up 52 points on their defense.  Atlanta should fare better than that, but they have to be worried about this Giants passing attack.

An interesting change for the Giants is at the RB position.  Forced to the bench for most of the year, David Wilson will make his first career start against the Falcons.  With Bradshawn and Andre Brown injured, Wilson is forced into the lineup.  That may not be a bad thing for New York though.  Wilson is extremely talented and proved that last week against the Saints.  He will be in  for a bigger test today, but will get every opportunity to prove himself.

As for Atlanta, they can clinch the NFC South with this win, although that is basically a lock.  They could also clinch home field advantage with a win and GB and SF loss.  Unlikely, but the Falcons do still have a lot to play for.  Atlanta will look to rebound from an embarrassing loss to the Panthers which should lead to a great game against the Giants today.
