The Falcons are one of the three remaining undefeated teams in the NFL, and they expect to remain undefeated after their match-up against the Carolina Panthers today. The Panthers have a sexy team on paper, but with many holes on the team and with Cam Newton still inexperienced, it’s possible that the Panthers play this week four battle with┬ádesperation┬áto turn their season around before it’s lost. If that’s the case, the Falcons will need to be prepared to take advantage of Cam Newton’s risky throws by being ready to step into the passing lanes and make some interceptions. Newton was picked off three times by the New York Giants last week, and he was sacked twice. The Panthers don’t look like they have the players capable of stopping the Falcons high powered offense, so stopping the Panthers from scoring should be the Falcons priority in this game. The Falcons will need to keep an eye on Steve Smith, force Cam Newton to run, but keep him contained. If the Falcons can do that, they should have no problem improving to 4-0.
