This week Matty Ice and crew are at home to face off against the division rival Panthers. This game is critical for Atlanta if they want to make preseason expectations look reasonable. They have under achieved thus far, and need to start winning games soon. The Panthers will be no pushovers, as rookie QB Cam Newton is assaulting the record books in scary fashion. This game should give a fright to any fans of the Falcons. In order to do well here, I would say the birds should try to hold the ball as long as possible. I feel that if Newton can get his hands on the ball enough, he will torch the Falcons D. His favorite target, WR Steve Smith, is back to his form of years past. Michael Turner will be huge if Atlanta is to win this game. He needs to pound away at Carolina, and eventually hit a few big plays. I don’t see the Falcons holding the Panthers down if they can’t run it on them. I see a Panthers win, in an upset, 31-21.
